What this is

câtproduc is a small site for sharing what a rooftop produces. It is free, it is run by the company named at the bottom of this page, and it sells nothing. Using it means these terms and the privacy page apply to you.

Your account

• •One account per person, with a username that is yours rather than one picked to look like somebody else.
• •Your API keys are yours to keep secret. Anything pushed with one of your keys counts as pushed by you, so revoke a key the moment you suspect it has got out — the button is on your settings page, and making a new one takes a press.
• •Tell us the truth about your roof — the rankings are worked out from what you declare, so an invented system size displaces real ones.

What you publish

Your readings stay yours. By pushing them here you let us store them, work out daily totals from them, and show them on your page and in the site-wide figures — which is the whole service and nothing more.

A public page is public. It can be read without signing in, linked, quoted, previewed by chat apps and indexed by search engines. If that is not what you want, a private page shows your figures only to followers you have accepted — and the totals on the front page still include your roof without naming it.

Do not publish somebody else’s data as your own, and do not connect a roof you have no right to read.

Fair use

• •Stay inside the rate limits, and do not work around them with extra keys or extra accounts.
• •Do not try to reach data you were not given — other people’s private pages, our infrastructure, anybody’s account but your own.
• •Do not scrape the site wholesale. If you want the data behind a page, ask; there is an API and we would rather you used it.
• •Nothing illegal, nothing abusive, and nothing that puts the site or the people on it at risk.

What we do not promise

The site can be down, slow, or mid-upgrade. There is no uptime commitment and no support promise beyond [email protected] and whatever time we have.

The numbers are not billing-grade. They come from your own inverter, over your own network, and they can be wrong or missing. Do not use them for an invoice, a warranty claim, a subsidy application or anything else where being wrong costs money. The meter your supplier reads is the one that counts.

Keep your own copy of anything you would be sorry to lose.

Ending it

You can delete your account whenever you like, from your settings page; it is immediate and it is permanent. We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, puts the site at risk, or is being used to impersonate somebody — and where there is any judgement involved we will say why rather than disappear it quietly.

Liability

The site is provided as it is, without warranties, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for loss arising from using it or from being unable to. Nothing here is energy, financial or engineering advice.

Which law

Romanian law applies, and any dispute that cannot be settled by talking goes to the competent courts at the company’s registered seat. If you are a consumer, the rights the law gives you are not affected by anything on this page.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Carrying on using the site after that means the new version applies; if you would rather not, deleting your account is one press.
